This year’s Senior Club Championship will be held on Sunday 10th September 2017.  Entries will be available via normal club competitions via the Pro Shop.

 

2016 Senior Club Championship

The inaugural Seniors Championship was held in 2015 and run in conjunction with the Club Championship. Previously there had been a veteran’s championship for players over 65 years old, but not for players aged over 55 (the criterion to be a senior player). In 2016 it was held as a separate competition on Sunday 11th September, the format being 18 holes of medal play from the black tees. The Senior Championship trophy is awarded to the player with the best gross score and a trophy will also be awarded to the player with the best nett score.

Nigel Fosker (4 handicap) is the Senior’s Champion with a score of 74 and received the Haskell Tankard. Malcolm Pook (5) was runner up with a score of 77. Steve Frost won the Ralph Butterfield Salver for the best nett score of 87 – 19 – 68. John Pearce was runner up with 80 – 11 – 69.
